What NV to buy?
I am getting ready to buy a nvs for a dpms .308 rifle, I am looking for something with a excellent picture at a range up to 200 yards. Can someone give me some advice on what to buy? I don‘t want to purchase a scope 5 times before I get it right. Thanks in advance

Ideas...
Maybe a D740 or D760 in Gen3? Or if you‘re on a budget, the AN/PVS-4 if you can find a good one. I take it you‘re in the US. Find a reputable dealer and let them know stuff like your budget and what you want to do, and I‘m sure some will have suggestions.

Like most things, your budget is probably the biggest constraint. The bigger the budget, the better the image you can get.

You will eventually find that it‘s not so much the scope that‘s critical as the tube inside of it. That will control how clear, sharp and usable the image is under low-light conditions.

thank you
Thanks for the imput,budget is a issue but I would rather wait and save more money than buy something that I won‘t be happy with. The only caveat is if our President does something stupid and gun and accy prices go back thru the roof.

Guns != Scopes...

Gun prices and scope prices aren‘t all that connected. Don‘t sweat it. Check the shooting forums ( eg, AR15.com ) NV sections for discussion on this topic - THere are far more knowledgable people than I there -

ps-22
Go with a ps-22. It mounts infront of existing dayscope and are generally alot cheaper. No rezeroing needed.
