I recently acquired a NAIT NVPS-10 mono scape. This Operators Manual lists American International Technologies but the unit has NAIT on it swith serial number 3151xx. How can I tell what generation it is? I was told third but I have seen nvps-10‘s in that serial number range listed online as Second and Third generation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the reply. I saw that on the website but the maual lists specs for both Gen II and Gen III. Don‘t know if that‘s just for comparison or if it was available either way. Seems like if both were offered, they would have different model numbers. The manual also says "Penetrator" on cover. Are there any visual clues to Gen or does identification require disassembly? Thanks again
unscrew the objective lens and look at the photocathode (input window)if it is a very dark blue with a glass window it is gen III, mine is gen II, which is an MX-9916/ PVS-5 tube.
